The intercom system in the TH-73 serves a crucial role in facilitating communication between the instructor and trainee during flight training. This system allows for clear dialogue, enabling instructors to provide real-time feedback, instructions, and guidance while the trainee is operating the helicopter. The simplicity and efficiency of the intercom help ensure that both parties can communicate without external distractions, which is vital in the training environment where situational awareness is key.

While various communication functions exist in the helicopter's broader communication infrastructure, the primary focus of the intercom is specifically tailored toward the instructor-trainee relationship, creating an effective learning environment. Other options might cover essential communication aspects, but none are as central to the training dynamic as the interaction provided by the intercom.
